Saint TROPEZ

SUMMER -> BOAT RIDE
WINTER -> BY ROAD THROUGH PORT GRIMAUD

The history of Saint-Tropez is closely linked to the sea.

In the late 19th and early 20th century, Saint-Tropez experienced a new artistic and cultural destiny that was a prelude to the tourist craze.

The coming of Maupassant (writer), Paul Signac (painter) mark the beginning of a trend that will turn as a new golden age for Saint-Tropez which will become the meeting place of artists at large (painters, writers,  cinema people, …)

In the 1960’s, Brigitte Bardot bought a property at a time when Saint-Tropez was merely a fishermen village. She then started this special bond with the village and initiated the foundation of the myth of Saint-Tropez.

Today the village is the unavoidable destination for famous people, sea lovers, history buffs, art and Heritage addicts.

Behind this party place, the village managed to keep being real and genuine. Have a walk through the picturesque lanes and discover the atmosphere of a traditional village.
